Hubei Dan'ao Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (the original Hubei Danjiangkou Dan'ao Pharmaceutical Chemical Co., Ltd.) is situated at the foot of the Wudang Mountain. It is located in the middle line of the south-to-north water transfer project-Danjiangkou Reservoir. The company was founded in 1978, and it is a high-tech enterprise engages in manufacturing and marketing intermediates and APIs for steroid hormone drugs. The company holds 10 million Yuan RMB of registered capital and 135 million Yuan RMB of total assets. At present, there are 96 employees in the company, and 46 of which are professional technicians.

The company purchased 98,000 square meters of land in Xingang economic development zone, Danjiangkou city, Shiyan city, Hubei province in 2009 with the total investment of 130 million Yuan RMB. The project is aimed at establishing green cleaner production enterprise in accordance with GMP standards. The company has established 80 T/A progesterone production line; 120 T/A 17A-hydroxyprogesterone production line; 260 T/A 16-dehydropregnenolone acetate production line; 160 T/A 16-17A-Epoxyprogesterone production line; 60 T/A 17A-acetoxyprogesterone production line; three production lines of ethynylation products; 17A-hydroxyprogesterone hexanoate and medroxyprogesterone acetate production lines and GMP workshop.

The company takes steroid products as core business, yellow ginger, stigmasterol and steroid plants as basic raw material, diene, 16-17A-Epoxyprogesterone, 17A-hydroxyprogesterone as main material, to develop right products required by domestic and international pharmaceutical material markets.
